"Making Brinnon a Better Place to Live"

The Brinnon Booster Club has been around for nearly fifty years. Originally the club was just a group of friends and neighbors who wanted to see some things happen in Brinnon that would improve life here.

The Booster Club was instrumental in bringing electricity into town [editor's note: this needs to be verified], and helped to get the netting put on Mt. Walker to prevent slides and rocks hitting cars as you travel the highway, they bought the first ambulance and started the volunteer fire department.

In the 1960's, the group built its own building for dances, BINGO, organizational meetings and a place to house the fire trucks and ambulance. Since the fire department has moved to their new fire station there is no longer the need to house those vehicles.

The Booster Club building is still the meeting place for the Dosey Dux, VFW and Auxilliary, Brinnon Community Theater, the Food Bank, WIC, the Health Department and the Booster Club itself.

Special events are centered there including Loyalty Day, VFW Loyalty Day Parade, plays, health forums, candidates' night, Farmers Market, BINGO, Christmas Craft Fair, and other community events. The building is available for rental for private events at the cost of $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

Recent improvements to the Booster Club Building include a new forced-air propane heater, some re-wiring and extensive insulation. As always, donations are welcome and can be addressed to: Brinnon Booster Club, P.O. Box 21, Brinnon, WA 98320.

The Booster Club needs your support to continue current programs and add new ones as it endeavors to make Brinnon a better place to live. If you are not a member, please consider becoming one.
